Sweetie's story
My rescue name is Sweetie because I was very sweet when I first came to rescue. I am the mother of Dilly and we were both abandoned at the HEB in Cal Allen. We were left in a shopping cart with our soft side crate and our blanket - Not even any water. We were left at the bus stop bear the store.
When we came to rescue we got taken to the vet for a health check. I was spayed and I hot my shots and my micro-chip. I had a bruise on my side and it was treated but I still have a little scar from it.
I am not as friendly as when I first came to rescue because I am very protective of my new territory. I love my crate and spend a lot of time there. I am house trained and I need to learn to walk on a leash.
I am a very good early warning system and I will help protect my new family. I bark when there are people at the door and I warn my rescue family if I think there is danger nearby. I like to be picked up and I could sit in your lap if you will let me. I am still dealing with my abandonment issues and I am learning to be more calm and friendly.
Please come out and see me and my boy here at rescue and we can be best friends.
